Summary

He did it！ Kenma finally did it！ Kenma expressed his opinion on volleyball！ It was such a great moment。 I will talk around this later in the review， but I am going to break this review by the chapter titles。 Chapter 315 AttackThis was a continuation of the previous volume， where we find out what happens。 We also see the brilliance of Kenma and Kageyama as setters。 For Kageyama， it is through his actions。 For Kenma， it is through his thinking processes。 There was a good line and then art panel wi He did it！ Kenma finally did it！ Kenma expressed his opinion on volleyball！ It was such a great moment。 I will talk around this later in the review， but I am going to break this review by the chapter titles。 Chapter 315 AttackThis was a continuation of the previous volume， where we find out what happens。 We also see the brilliance of Kenma and Kageyama as setters。 For Kageyama， it is through his actions。 For Kenma， it is through his thinking processes。 There was a good line and then art panel with Kenma。 The following just shows that Kenma relates everything or at the very least just volleyball to video games。 "。。。Yeah。 That's it， Isn't it？ If all your ranged attacks are sealed。。。and your magic attacks are absorbed。。。then you just beat them over the head with a regular attack。 That's the only way。" Then he whirls around to face Coach Nekomata， who knows he doesn't need to tell Kenma anything for Kenma figured it out。 Chapter 316 Rivals: Part 2Inuoka and Hinata was the focus in this chapter， which I cannot say much。 While Tsukishima is known as the freak quick killer， Inuoka is one of the few blockers who can catch up to Hinata， which makes him Hinata's rival in this case。 Once again we get a good quote from Kenma: "'One monster and another monster。' I know coach said that a while ago， but in my head I was still like， 'But he's still like a club。' One with a high attack stat and multiple abilities attached， but still just a club。 But I was wrong。"Oooh！ Such a good line！ It also made me think about Genie Lo from The Epic Crush of Genie Lo and The Iron Will of Genie Lo， where that is the literal translation of Kenma's line。 A club turning into a monster is literally and slightly metaphorically what happens to Genie。 Chapter 317 UpdatesThis was such a rewarding chapter for Karasuno！ It finally happened！ Chapter 318 PartnersFinally！ Kuroo and Kenma's frienship backstory！ We finally learn how they become friends even though it kind of acts more like siblings， like older brother and younger brother。 It was also interesting to know that someone they know in the present met them briefly when they were kids。 There were some good lines/dialogues and panels in this chapter。 Kenma: "If you were just some partying-jock type， I never would've bothered playing this long with you。"Kuroo: "DUDE， OW！ What's with the sudden personal attacks， huh？"Kenma: "Yeah， I don't want to exercise so hard that I run out of breath or work up a sweat if I can avoid it。 Yeah， there are times I want to play video games instead of volleyball。 Heck， I'm starting to think I like WATCHING volleyball more than playing it。 BUT。。。It's not a bad feeling to stand up and think。。。'Welp， time to get to it。'"Kuroo: "。。。Eesh。 Everybody's gotta be their own kinda crazy， huh？"I just like this for it shows this friendship really well！ This also highlights just how well Haruichi Furudate writes friendships and these different relationships。 Bravo！ Right after this dialogue， there is a panel where Nekoma is getting into a huddle and it just a warm fuzzy moment， which transitions into this quote from Kuroo as they reflect on their past practices: "We've struggled and toughed it out through all the hard times。 NOW IT'S TIME TO ENJOY OUR REWARD！ WOOOOOO！！" Then we have Karasuno do a "WOOOOOO！！，" because they wanted to do the same thing as Nekoma。 After that panel， we have two panels of Kuroo's and Daichi's faces and below that is a great symmetrical panel of the two teams on either side of the net with the captains pointing at each other: "But this reward。。。for one of us。。。will be the LAST。" I love this friendly rivalry between the captains， the players， and the teams。 I just get a fangirl squeal just thinking about it！ Chapter 319 GuardiansSpeaking of rivals， we get a spotlight on the liberos， but first an awesome quote: "With this set， someone will have to lose。 And that will be it。 They're done。 Their third years will retire。 Those guys， though。。。They're so stubborn that we're already exhausted after just two sets。 We couldn't tell you if it's exhaustion， the pressure or something else。。。but it's taking effort to stop our knees from shaking。 Now。。。let's go out there and play the volleyball of our lives。" EEEEEEEEEEE！ That was fangirl squeal。 I。 Love。 This。 Arc。 So。 Much！！！！Let's talk about the liberos。 There were these two great panels of Yaku and Nishinoya's backs side-by-side with Yaku on the right and Nishinoya on the left with the official commentator's words in the middle。 It was such a great visual。 What's great about these liberos is they both think of each other as high/elite level players。 I get the sense that think of the other one as a greater libero than themselves， which to me seems like a HIGH level of mutual respect。 For example， Nishinoya said this about Yaku "Augh， Augh， AAAUGH！ That was so！ FREAKIN'！ COOL！！" Then we have Yaku who said this: "'He's already a really high-level libero himself。 But far from being content with that， he's still aiming to go even higher。' I said you scared me then， and you still scare me now。。。Yu。" Ooooh， this speaks volumes。 Before we go into the next chapter we end with this Kuroo quote that ends with an awesome panel of Kuroo and Tsukishima looking at each other: "Yeah， we're all rivals here。 But， at the same time。。。Each of us are。。。to the other。。。a teacher。" Chapter 320 Master and Student: Part 2We revisit Tsukishima's and Kuroo's teacher-student relationship。 It was such a good chapter！ We see Kuroo and Tsukishima go head-to-head at the net in a joust。 Then we have Kuroo reflect on read blocking on how it can lead you to have the last laugh， which is something that Tsukishima has said before。 Then we have Kuroo delivered some praise in an off-handed way。 Kuroo to Tsukishima: "Y'know how you're known for your super-tenacious and super-persistent blocking。。。and just how much it ticks everybody off， right？"Tsukishima: "。。。"Daichi: If you're having trouble wording a retort， I could punch him for you。" Kuroo: "Well。。。seeing how successful you are at it， I can't help but think。。。 Thank God。 I wasn't wrong。" This is coming from a guy who knows intellectually that read blocking is the way to go， but he doubts it until he sees Tsukishima doing it。 Before this chapter ends， we see Tsukishima doubt his ability to going up against Kuroo， but he turns it around。 Also guess what？ Tsukishima does a real smile！！！Chapter 321 Birds vs。 BeastsThe flying albatross！ Okay， I made that up and it just came to me， but that is what one of these players are like。 They are not like Lev or Goliath， but they are tall enough to have a high contact point。 Yet， they are not tall enough to just kind of reach up there with minimum jumping。 We do not see it very often， but he can fly！ This makes me think of him as an albatross。 We have to keep it in the family of birds that can fly。 Chapter 322 I WinYes！ This is the moment where Kenma expressed his volleyball opinion！ Remember when Hinata said he was going to make Kenma say whether he disliked or liked volleyball？ Well， it happened as Kenma was flopped out on the gym floor like a dead fish。 I mean there was a memorable line， but that will spoil Kenma's opinion and I am not going to do that。 There was some great visuals。 There was a visual of Kenma's and Hinata's friendship/rivalry。 There's nice side-by-side panel of Hinata and Kenma just looking exhausted。 Kuroo and Kenma also had some nice panels， including a flashback to when there younger。 Verdict: I love this series so much！！！ 。。。more
